MARSHALS SIGNING ON FORM – 2017
BLACKFORD’S PRE TT CLASSIC ROAD RACES 26TH
27TH& 29TH MAY 2017 AND
POST TT ROAD RACES 10TH JUNE 2017

Dear Marshal,
We hope that you are willing and able to Marshal at the aforementioned road races and ask that you read the
following information carefully and complete the form, returning it to us by no later than Monday 1st May 2017.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION WHICH EFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

  • To Marshal you must be over 16 and physically fit.
  • Marshals on Duty must not be under the influence of Drugs or Alcohol or consume any Alcohol whilst on Duty.
  • Marshals on Duty must not use a Camera or any other device and must not post or send any information via text or any of the Social Media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter concerning any Incidents.
  • You must wear your S100 high visibility tabard with your warrant ID on display at all times on Duty.
  • You must wear suitable clothing for your personal protection including stout shoes and gloves.
  • Marshals are asked to report for Duty 30 minutes before roads closing. Experienced Marshals should be prepared to move to another location if required to do so by a Sector Marshal or Deputy.
  • Sign on night will be at Morton Hall, Castletown on 18th May 2017 at 7.30pm. All Marshals must try to attend and collect their packs at this time. Those that cannot attend sign on night must make suitable alternative arrangements with the below named or their Sector Marshal. No packs will be handed out
    without a fully completed and signed form.

- I am fully fit to Marshal
- I agree to act as an official of the meeting in whatever capacity is requested of the organisers and I will inform the organisers immediately should I be asked to officiate in a position which I do not feel confident to fulfil for any reason
- I will inform my Sector Marshal immediately if I am unable to carry out my duties
- I undertake to read the Duties of Officials and the National Sporting Code of the ACU, the Standing Regulations and such Supplementary Regulations as have or may be issued for the event and agree to be bound by them.
-I shall not seek to claim against the ACU (other than under the Personal Accident Policy), the organisers nor their officials, the land owners, the promotors or others bodies or individuals connected with the event in respect of any damage to my property howsoever caused, unless by the negligence or breach
of statutory duty of the said bodies or persons.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE RISK OF MOTORSPORT
I hereby acknowledge that as an official I may be exposed to the risks inherent in motorsport and I will undertake
my duties with due proper regard for my own safety. I have read the aforegoing and acknowledge that my
participation in motorsport is entirely at my own risk.
I certify with my signature on the availability and location form, that all my personal information is correct, I have
read, understood and agree to the declaration information and I am willing to Marshal.
