The Friendly Races
In 2015 the Southern 100 road races celebrated sixty years of the "friendly races". In those sixty years many greats like Joey Dunlop, Bob McIntyre, Ian Lougher and Brian Reid have graced the meeting (and podiums) with their presence. 2015 saw another Southern 100 stalwart and road racing legend take the coveted solo championship. It was another popular win for the fans favourite Guy Martin equalling Joey's treble Solo Championship of 1976,1977 and 1998. Dan Kneen, Michael Dunlop, Ivan Lintin and Dean Harrison all made Guy work hard to retain the Solo Championship.
The sidecars not to be outdone provided some of the closest racing of the week. Reeves, Holden, Bell, Lambert, Harrison, Lockey and Hope all the big road racing names were ther and they all wanted the Sidecar Championship.
With five races having less than one second between first and second places the 2015 Diamond Jubilee provided some of the best racing ever seen at Billown and all the action is captured on the DVD from different camera angles and plenty of on board footage.
